LIVE KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Dr. Chris Osborne

Dr. Chris Osborne has pastored in Texas for 40+ years. He served at Memorial Baptist in Oakwood, FBC of New Baden, Wilshire Park in Midland and served as senior pastor for 33 years at Central in College Station. In January of 2020, he joined the faculty at SWBTS to teach Pastoral Ministry and Preaching. In 2023, the trustees named Dr.Osborne to the James T. Draper Chair of Pastoral Ministry. Through text driven, expository preaching, Chris’s messages reach all ages. His 25 minute sermons bring deep study of the text from the original languages and his wit will keep the listeners on the edge of their seats. He has a passion for God’s Word and a love for His people.
 
Dr. Osborne is married to Peggy. They have two children and three grandchildren. They love to travel in their camper and especially enjoy leading groups in Israel.

Live Breakout Session Speakers

Craig Clapper

Craig Clapper served as Senior Pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in South Bend, Indiana for 26.2 years; a marathon pastorate. He then served as a Chaplain on the Appalachian Trail with the missions organization AT Servants. His job description was to”be Jesus”  to the other thru-hikers he  met as they hiked the  entire 2,190 miles from Georgia to Maine. He wrote a memoir on the hike titled “Legging It-Life Lessons Learned Thru-Hiking the Appalachian Trail.” Craig has since  led several hiking trips of The Jesus Trail in Israel.

Brendan Heffernan

Originally a California native and a graduate of Moody Bible Institute and Moody Theological seminary, Brendan Heffernan serves locally with the outreach organization, Young Life. He has been serving in full time Youth Ministry for the past 7 years and is passionate about students finding Jesus and finding a lifelong faith in the Church. Brendan currently oversees ministry at both Lakeshore Middle school and Lakeshore High School and substitute teaches at both schools. Personally, he’s a new father, loves surfing on Lake Michigan, and craves In N Out burgers everyday. 

Brent Walker

Brent has served in a wide range of ministerial, board, and academic positions: senior pastor and interim minister at churches, visiting lecturer; federal prison chaplain; university theology instructor; and grief and trauma counselor. Brent is a certified spiritual director who works with individuals across the globe. The son of Wycliffe Bible translators who serve the Carrier indigenous people of British Columbia, his early years
on the reservation shaped his Christian worldview and ongoing desire to serve marginalized people. Brent is the senior pastor at Peace Lutheran Church in St. Joseph, Michigan. He holds a master’s degree in theology from Concordia University Montreal.
Ryan encourages individuals to live H-O-T (Honest, Open, and Transparent), and believes in challenging, with love, the status-quo of many believers towards a practical understanding and application of God’s Word.

Ryan, his wife Maryann, and their family have traveled more than 150,000 miles and conducted more than 2,500 services in over 250 locations across North America (30 states and Canada), Central America (El Salvador and Guatemala), and overseas (Europe, Middle East, India), with the focus on kindling Christ-centered movements of authentic Christianity that displays the gospel and assists in aiding in the Great Commission.

Rich Watson

Rich Watson who is a licensed psychologist and counselor for Southwestern Medical Clinic. He has also served previously as a pastor and loves teaching and encouraging men in their faith.
